Hardware
Dentar, Inc is happy to sell you hardware. However, this is more of a convenience to the customer than it is to sell hardware. I will not attempt to beat anyone in town on price, because it is impossible for the independent consultant or support engineer to do so unless a loss is taken just to get the sale. However, I believe you'll find that hardware cost will not be an issue, especially given that my rates for consulting and support are better than the other UNIX shops in town.
I do find that clients who are not hung up on hardware prices tend to want to buy better hardware. These clients wind up getting better quality and are much happier with their technology than those who trip over dollars to pick up pennies. In the long run, cheap hardware costs more. Dentar, Inc. no longer builds "white boxes."
Dentar, Inc. is excellent at dealing with hardware, including modems, dumb terminals, printers, etc. Many people will not touch serial items because they do not know how to deal with it. We do and we will. I have dealt with quite a bit of hardware and do not have any problems selling that which I can get from hardware vendors.
Hardware installation and operating system installation and configuration is billed per hour. Estimates for amounts of time spent are not binding quotes. All hardware is strictly sold on a time and materials basis.
Dentar, Inc. may also ask for a full or partial down-payment for large hardware purchases.
Hardware orders, software orders, and all other sales of goods and services are final. Before ordering items, be sure it is really what you need and that you intend to purchase it. Special orders cannot be returned.
